krka national park & trogir tour from split
Upon meeting, we will drive to Krka National Park. The ride from Split to the entrance of the park takes approx. 1 h 30 minutes, including a short break on the road (on our way to the park we'll take a stop at the highway to enjoy great panorama over the picturesque small town of Skradin and Krka river).
From the small town of Skradin we will take 30 minutes boat tour through the canyon of Krka river and arrive to the entrance of the park where our walking tour of the national park begins.
First, we will enjoy a great scenario of the national park's main attraction, the famous "Skradinski Buk" waterfall. On the other side of the river we will take a look into the remains of the first commercial hydroelectric power plant in Europe and traditional water mills.
Afterwards, we will walk over the bridges and walking paths in the heart of the park, enjoying great panoramas from different points of view. At the end, we will return to the main cascade where you can have a swim in the river, just in front of the "eternal water" of Skradinski Buk waterfall.
During approx. 1 h 30 min of free time we suggest you either to relax in the park by the river or have a lunch at the restaurant. Return boat ride to Skradin after which we will head to the city of Trogir.
Trogir walking tour includes visit of the old town, UNESCO World Heritage Site. During approx. 2 hours of tour, you will discover remains of the ancient city walls, city gates, squares, churches, bridges and other hidden corners inside the old town. In this picturesque medieval town you will also see St. Lawrence Cathedral with magnificent Radovan’s portal, a masterpiece from the 13th century, Kamerlengo Fortress with the beautiful view over the bay and the old city, Tower of St. Marc, Marshal Marmont's gloriette, main city square with the church of St. Sebastian and Loggia & City Hall. After the tour, we will return to Split.
