How to get from Split airport to Split?

From Split airport to the city of Split there are essentially only two ways to arrive: by bus and/or by car. There is no train or metro connection from the airport of Split to the city. Split international airport, Resnik, is located about 28 km from the city center of Split.

How to arrive from Split airport to the city center of Split?

Private transfers: It is the best; the most reliable and the fastest way to get from the airport of Split to the city center; to your address or to the city port. As we also offer these services, we can arrange you the private transfer from the airport to any drop off point in the city as well as to any other destination in Croatia. The price of the transfer from the airport to the town (any drop off point in the city of Split) is 30 EURO in one direction (for up to 4 persons); 60 EURO for 5 up to 8 persons. You can book your transfer sending me your e-mail enquiry at: transfers@insplit.net or visit our Split Airport Transfers website. In this case, there will be a driver to attend you at the airport when you arrive and transfer you directly to your address; payment in cash to the driver upon arrival at your drop off point.

By taxi: The taxi drive from Split airport to the town is about 30-35 minutes depending on traffic conditions. The average price of the transfer is about 40 EURO. I usually don't recommend taxi transfers as they are not reliable and often charge more than it is due for the airport transfer. Anyway, if you need to take the taxi from the airport to the city, be sure to arrange the price prior to getting into the taxi (and if you can choose which taxi to take, I would recommend Uber or Green taxi taxi).

By local bus: Line 37, from Trogir to Split. The ticket cost is 17 HRK for adults (approx. 2,3 EUR / person); 5 HRK for children (6-10 years old). The tickets can be purchased at the bus, from the driver, payments are strictly in kuna. The bus stop of the line 37 is across the street from the airport's main terminal and departures are approx. each 20-30 minutes. The main problem traveling by local bus is the time of the journey (approx. 45 minutes, as there are frequent stops on the way from the airport to the city) and the location of the arrival station in Split, Sukoišan bus terminal, which is located approx. 1 km from the city center. From the terminal to the city center there are approx. 20 minutes walking, otherwise you need to take the local bus or a taxi.

By airport shuttle (bus): From the airport of Split to the main bus station in Split there are shuttles in departure each 30 minutes approx. The line is operated by the Croatian Airlines buses (prijevoz Pleso, Zračna luka Split) and the ticket cost is 30 HRK (Approx. 4 EURO / person). The tickets can be purchased in the bus, at the airport terminal or online at the web site: Pleso Prijevoz. The main bus station in Split is located within the harbour area of Split, in the city center, therefore this is the most convenient way to reach the city or the city port from the airport of Split.
